Archetype Distillery is looking to grow our team in the Vail Village tasting room. Archetype is creating a position for a drink cook and cocktail chef. A non-traditional bartender position, our preferred candidate would have kitchen or culinary experience. We are looking for people who have an excellent palate, strong familiarity with the ingredients of our spirits, and can use requested flavor profiles to create unique drinks. We provide training for alcohol serving and proportions and styles for cocktail creation. Initially work with the business owners & master distiller behind the bar, sharing all responsibilities. Intent to grow into independent shift work. Pay structure: Starting at $30/hour based on experience + commission on total sales (drinks, bottles, merchandise, and charcuterie or caviar service). Hours: 7 day/week availability 3pm-10pm, primarily Monday-Thursday. Duties/Responsibilities: Open/close procedures behind bar; Prep ingredients; Cleaning entire space; in addition to regular customer-focused activities (explain the menu/take orders, make drinks, serve). Off-site events may also be available. Age Requirement: 21 and over only.
