The Meeker Police Department is accepting applications for the position of School Resource Officer. An immediate opening exists for a qualified candidate. Meeker is a beautiful town in rural Northwest Colorado with a population of about 2,500. The area is known for our great hunting, fishing, and other outdoor recreational sports. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 21 years of age at the time of hire, High School Diploma or Equivalent, Colorado POST Certified, currently enrolled in a POST academy, or ability to obtain Provisional Certificate (for out of state certified peace officers), candidates for School Resource Officer should have a minimum of 3 years’ law enforcement experience, valid Colorado driver's license, or the ability to obtain within 30 days, no felony charges, disqualifying misdemeanors, or domestic violence in history.
