
WATER DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR II - $56,638 – 76,462
ABOUT THIS POSITION - The Town of Basalt is accepting applications for a Water Distribution Operator II. This position is responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of the Town’s water distributions system. This opportunity is one of two positions with our Water Department. The successful candidate possesses a team-oriented, collaborative, and organized working style, with excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain positive relationships, and responsiveness to the community. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent and two plus years of directly related full-time work experience Must possess a State of Colorado Certified Water Professionals (CCWP) distribution class I license or higher. Must obtain ASSE International Backflow Protection Assembly Tester Certification within 1-year of hire. Ability and interest to obtain a Colorado Class C water treatment operator’s license or higher upon hire. Ability to obtain certificate of completion for confined space entry and trenching and shoring outlined by OSHA and pass CDOT Certified Flagger Course within 6 months of hire. Valid Colorado Driver’s License.

The hiring range for the Water Distribution Operator II is $56,638 – $76,462 with salary commensurate to experience. This is a non-exempt position. Housing may be available in a town-owned unit.
