
Kind Bikes and Skis is a full-service, year-round bike shop that adds ski sales, rentals, and tuning during the winter months. Our shop is located in the vibrant Riverwalk living and shopping village in Edwards, CO, just a couple miles from Beaver Creek and about 12 miles from Vail ski resort. We have great road and mountain biking trails right out the door of the store, and Beaver Creek’s Arrowhead base area and chairlift just a mile down the road. We're a family of cyclists and skiers with different cycling and skiing backgrounds, and we love to share our passion through providing an unsurpassed experience for our customers.

Edwards and West Vail Locations
We are looking for experienced mechanics and technicians to join our team. Kind Bikes and Skis is a fast paced and high volume shop in the summer months, and performs services on bikes of all levels of quality and complexity, to meet our clients’ needs and provide an experience that exceeds expectations. Successful candidates among possessing many other traits, must be detail oriented, have strong mechanical acumen, professional, be a team player, and be outgoing and friendly.
Pay $25/hr.+, depending on experience

Bike/Ski Tech IV
Job Description
Job Title: Tech IV
Department: Service/Repair
Reports To: Service Manager
Summary: This position requires a technician that is able to complete high level repairs such as suspension service, wheel builds, hydraulic brake bleeds, electronic shifting diagnostics, and complete bicycle overhauls.
Responsibilities Summary:
Perform advanced level diagnostics and service procedures on analog and electric bikes
Service Writing
Wheel building
Hydraulic brake bleeds
Suspension service
Bearing overhauls
Internal hub service
Build all price points of bikes
Competent (or able to achieve competency) in all aspects of ski tuning and binding service operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
100% bike safety check proficiency
Perform level I-IV repairs
Assist Level I-IV technicians with repairs
Perform quality control inspection on others repairs
Ensure that proper safety practices are being followed
Ensure customer service standards are being met
Make sure that there is good communication between sales and service departments.
Help maintain a positive work environment
Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and organization of the repair shop
Check work email and respond at the beginning and end of every shift
Education/Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional bicycle technician experience. Completion of Barnett’s or UBI courses a plus.

Job Description
Job Title: Tech V/Suspension Specialist
Department: Service/Repair
Reports To: Service Manager
Summary: This position requires a unique technician that is able to perform high level repairs and has exceptional customer service skills. You will need to be able to complete high level repairs such as suspension service, frame facing/chasing, wheel builds, hydraulic brake bleeds, electronic shifting diagnostics, internally geared hub service and complete bicycle overhauls.
Responsibilities:
Suspension service – all levels
Hydraulic brake rebuilds
Dropper post rebuilds
Custom bike builds
Competent in all aspects of ski tuning and binding service operations
Maintain ski tuning equipment
Conduct training sessions
Duties and Responsibilities:
100% bike safety check proficiency
Perform level I-V repairs
Create accurate and complete repair estimates for customers
Assist I-V technicians with repairs
Perform quality control inspection on others repairs
Ensure that proper safety practices are being followed
Handle customer complaints
Delegate while-you-wait repairs to production technicians.
Ensure customer service standards are being met
Make sure that there is good communication between sales and service departments.
Process warranty claims on frames and parts
Provide training to technicians as needed.
Help maintain a positive work environment
