Hiring Range: $20.84 - $25.00 hourly depending on experience. This position is not eligible for benefits.
What You'll Do:
Do you like working outside? The Town of Eagle has multiple seasonal, full-time, positions for the spring, summer and fall seasons to perform a variety of routine and special activities for maintenance within the Building and Grounds Department. Will assist with routine maintenance of Town buildings, parks, and public spaces, including landscaping, facility upkeep, and event support.
No experience required will train the right candidate. Maintenance, landscaping, or construction experience is helpful. Must be a minimum of 16 years old with a valid Colorado Driver’s License. Requires successful completion of a driving and criminal background check.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Seasonal Full-time
• April through August or October, (start and end dates are flexible)
• 40 hours weekly
• 9-hour days Monday – Thursday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
• With 4 hours on Friday’s 7:00 am – 11:00 am
Key responsibilities include:
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English and adhere to safety policies/procedures while meeting schedules and deadlines.
• No experience required, will train the right candidate
• Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance, landscaping, general construction practices, and standard safety practices preferred but not required.
• Skill using basic hand tools and operating lawn mowing, and landscaping equipment, preferred but not required.
• Valid State Driver’s License and Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Customer orientated verbal communication skills include the ability to interact with town employees, vendors, and the public in a positive and cooperative manner.
• Ability to have a sense of ownership and pride in one’s work
• Ability to bend, stoop, knell, walk on uneven terrain and work with arms stretched out
• Physical discomforts from changes in weather such as rain, cold, heat, or other factors such as insects, dust, dirt and odors can be expected
• Position requires lifting 25-50 lbs. frequently, 50-75 lbs. occasionally, standing, bending and operation of landscape equipment (mower and weed trimming equipment)
