
The Town of Carbondale is hiring for the position of Police Services Technician/Evidence Custodian. This position operates the emergency communications console, receiving calls and dispatching equipment and personnel to provide police, fire, and rescue assistance to the community. Under the supervision of the Executive Assistant/Records Manager, the role also processes and maintains Police Department records, reports, and files.
The Police Services Technician/Evidence Custodian is responsible for maintaining the custody, control, and integrity of all processed evidence. Duties include the intake, cataloging, and secure storage of evidence items, scheduling and documenting evidence viewings, maintaining accurate evidence records, and overseeing the final disposition or disposal of evidence. The salary range for this position is $58,337–$78,755, depending on experience. Applicants must successfully complete a background check and drug test.
