ABOUT THIS POSITION - The Town of Basalt is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant to the Planning Department. This position is an important part of the Town’s development services team. The successful candidate must possess a team-oriented, collaborative working style with strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
This position provides administrative support to the Planning Department by assisting staff, customers, developers, and the public. Performs a variety of clerical, customer service, and technical administrative duties related to planning applications, permits, records management, scheduling, and public meetings.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - High School Diploma or GED with some experience working in a municipal planning, building, zoning, engineering, or community development department or other general office environment preferred. Must possess a current Notary Public commission or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire. Valid Colorado driver’s license required.
