Do you love turning complex information into clear, engaging communications? Are you a strong writer, thoughtful editor, organized project manager, and trusted voice who can help connect a community?
Cordillera Metro District is looking for a talented Communications Manager to lead internal and external communications for one of Colorado’s premier mountain communities. This is a unique opportunity to shape how residents, staff, vendors, stakeholders, and the public understand the work of the District—from everyday updates to high-profile projects, community issues, public meetings, emergency messaging, newsletters, website content, social media, signage, Board materials, and more.
Cordillera is a distinctive gated alpine community in the Vail Valley, surrounded by natural beauty, trails, open space, and year-round mountain living. The District manages essential services for the community, including roads, snow removal, public safety, open space, facilities, signage, and community-facing information.
What makes this role exciting? This is not a behind-the-scenes communications job. The Communications Manager plays a highly visible, hands-on role in keeping the community informed, connected, and confident in the District’s work. You will partner closely with the General Manager and leadership team, develop messaging for sensitive and time-sensitive matters, maintain a consistent District voice, and manage communications projects that residents see and use every day.
You will help tell the story of the District’s work through newsletters, website updates, social media, Board materials, signage, community notices, project updates, emergency communications, and public-facing resources.
Who we’re looking for....The ideal candidate is a polished writer, careful editor, calm communicator, and organized project manager who exercises excellent judgment and discretion. You should be comfortable working with leadership, staff, residents, vendors, and stakeholders while navigating complex community dynamics with professionalism and neutrality.
If you’re ready to join a supportive team in a beautiful mountain setting, we’d love to hear from you. Visit www.cordilleraliving.com/employment for more information and to apply.
