We're looking for an adventurous spirit with a love for the outdoors, ski towns, Western culture and the unique stories that bind it all together.This job works five days a week. Three to four of those days, we usually work together from our office at 8400’ in beautiful Tabernash. You would be encouraged to spend much of your time out in the county - which is about 1,850 square miles, larger than Rhode Island - to attend meetings and events, and to get to know the people who make this place what it is. Some remote work is also optional, depending on the current events and needs of the newspaper. The pay range is $43K to $46K depending on experience. Think on your feet and be ready to adjust at a moment's notice.•Ensure accuracy, fairness and correct spelling in all reporting.•Make assigned deadlines without exception.•Balance long-form journalism with regular daily news and briefs.•Contribute to the vision and direction of editorial content.•Be a team player who's willing to step into any role.•Act ethically in your professional and personal life.Qualifications:•Journalism, English, communications degree or equivalent work experience.
